Mezinárodní konference Muzeum a změna IV / The Museum and Change IV

12.–14. listopadu 2013 / 12th – 14th November 2013

Ve dnech 12.–14. listopadu 2013 se uskuteční mezinárodní konference na téma Muzeum a změna IV / The Museum and Change IV, kterou připravuje Asociace muzeí a galerií České republiky ve spolupráci s dalšími subjekty.
Předešlé ročníky, uskutečněné v letech 2002, 2005 a 2009, se snažily odpovědět na řadu otázek z činnosti muzeí a jejich každodenní praxe.
Čtvrtou konferencí navážeme na témata předešlých jednání a zdůrazníme to, co se v prostoru muzejních institucí za více než tři roky změnilo, co se v nich aktuálně odehrává.
Ústředním tématem našeho setkání bude problematika dokumentace současnosti, a to ve všech oblastech a aspektech muzejní práce.
Zaměříme se také na prezentaci nových a nejnovějších dějin a každodennost dvacátého, resp. jedenadvacátého století …

Konference Muzeum a změna IV / The Museum and Change IV je příležitostí k setkání muzejních pracovníků, pedagogů, studentů, zástupců zřizovatelů muzeí a galerií atd.
Téma dokumentace současnosti bude spojovat všech pět plánovaných bloků konference a jistě vyvolá řadu otázek a potřebu hledání odpovědí – Co se vlastně rozumí muzealizací současnosti? Jak je možné dokumentovat současnost? Jak ji prezentovat? Jaká kritéria zvolit při akviziční činnosti? Podíváme-li se za hranice České republiky, zjistíme, že toto téma neřešíme sami. Konferenci proto doplní také významní zahraniční hosté, kteří se s námi podělí o vlastní zkušenosti z této oblasti. Z úvodního teoretického vymezení tématu bychom se měli přenést do oblastí ryze praktických. Cílem našeho setkání by měla být možnost konfrontovat názory na fungování muzejní komunity, představit nové trendy vývoje oboru muzejnictví v Evropě i v zámoří, poskytnout prostor pro mezinárodní diskusi nad dalším rozvojem a směřováním muzeí, sdílet zkušenosti a vzájemně se inspirovat, reagovat nejen na hlavní téma konference – dokumentaci současnosti ...

Pokyny pro autory příspěvků:
K vystoupení se mohou přihlásit zájemci s příspěvkem v rozsahu max. 15 minut. Přednášející touto cestou žádáme o dodání názvu přednášky, stručných tezí a profesního životopisu v rámci I. cirkuláře.
Pořadatelé si vyhrazují právo odmítnout příspěvek, který nesouvisí s tématem konference či zkrátit časový prostor pro přednesení příspěvku. Přednesené příspěvky budou publikovány ve sborníku z konference, který vyjde v roce 2014.

From 12^th to 14^th November 2013 the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries in cooperation with other entities prepares the fourth international conference called Muzeum a změna IV / The Museum and Change IV. Previous years in 2002, 2005 and 2009, tried to answer many questions on museum activities and everyday practice – How have the organizational conditions, collecting activities and approach of museums to their visitors changed? How to educate newly the incoming generation of museum employees? How may the volunteers engage in museum activities? How do the professional organizations affect the museum work? What is the museum role in the modern society? The third meeting organized in 2009 on the occasion of the chairmanship of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union meant the great interest of the museum public in themes as construction and restoration of museum buildings, creation of new expositions and exhibitions, marketing and lobbing, economy and culture, digitization and protection of movable cultural heritage. In the fourth conference we will continue the themes of previous meetings and focus on what has changed in museum institutions during more than three years and what is currently going on there.

The main theme of our meeting will be the documentation of the present in all fields and aspects of museum work. We will concentrate also on presentation of new and latest history and dailiness of the twentieth or particularly twenty-first century …

The conference called Muzeum a změna IV / The Museum and Change IV is already the fourth occasion for the museum employees, pedagogues, students, representatives of museums and galleries establishers etc. to meet.
The theme of the documentation of the present will unite all five planned conference blocks and it will surely provoke many questions and the need for searching answers – What does it mean actually the musealisation of the present? How is it possible to document the present? How to present it? What criteria shall be chosen at acquisition activities? Looking abroad, we find out that we are not the only ones solving this theme. Therefore the foreign guests, who will share with us their experience in this field, will participate in the conference. We should pass from the introductory theoretical defining of the theme to the purely practical areas. The aim of our meeting should be the possibility to confront the opinions on functioning of the museum community, to introduce new trends of museology development in Europe and overseas, to provide the room for international discussion on further development and heading of museums, to share experience and inspire one another, to respond not only to the main theme of the conference – documentation of the present ...
